CarLogger Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the CarLogger mobile application ("Application") developed by Servet Ceberut ("Developer", "we") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data.

By using the Application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Data Collected

1.1. Data You Provide Directly

  • Account information: Name, surname, email address, password (encrypted)
  • Profile information: Gender, phone number, country, city (optional)
  • Vehicle information: Make, model, year, engine, fuel type, transmission, mileage
  • Expense records: Fuel, maintenance, bodywork records (date, amount, mileage, notes)
  • Reminders: Maintenance, inspection, insurance reminder information

1.2. Automatically Collected Data

  • Device information: Operating system, device type, language setting
  • Usage data: Application usage statistics (anonymous)
  • Subscription status: Premium membership status and duration

1.3. Data Collected from Third-Party Services

  • Firebase Authentication: Authentication information (Google, Apple account information)
  • Google AdMob: Ad interaction data (for free users)
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase data

2. Purposes of Data Use

Collected data is used for the following purposes:

  • Account creation and authentication
  • Providing vehicle expense tracking service
  • Statistics and analysis calculation
  • Anonymous comparison of community data
  • Subscription management
  • Sending reminder notifications
  • Application improvement and bug fixing
  • Fulfilling legal obligations

3. Data Storage

3.1. Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) infrastructure. Firebase operates on Google Cloud Platform and applies industry-standard security measures.

3.2. Passwords are stored in hashed form by Firebase Authentication. The Developer cannot access passwords.

3.3. Guest user data is stored only on the device.

3.4. Data is stored as long as your account is active. Data is deleted within a reasonable period when the account is deleted.

4. Data Sharing

Your personal data is not shared with third parties except in the following cases:

4.1. Service Providers

  • Google Firebase: Data storage and authentication
  • Google AdMob: Advertising services (free users)
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management
  • Apple/Google: App store transactions

4.2. Community Data

Your vehicle expense data may be used in community statistics in an anonymous and aggregate form. Your personal information is not included in this data.

4.3. Legal Requirements

Your data may be shared in accordance with legal regulations or at the request of competent authorities.

5. Data Security

5.1. Your data is transferred with SSL/TLS encryption.

5.2. Unauthorized access is prevented with Firebase security rules.

5.3. Each user can only access their own data.

5.4. No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will inform you within the framework of our legal obligations.

6. Children's Privacy

6.1. The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

6.2. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

6.3. If we become aware of such a situation, we will immediately delete the relevant data.

7. User Rights

You have the following rights:

  • Right of access: To learn what data is stored about you
  • Right of correction: To request correction of incorrect or incomplete data
  • Right of deletion: To request deletion of your data
  • Right of portability: To export your data (Premium feature)
  • Right of objection: To object to data processing

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

8.1. The Application does not use cookies.

8.2. Firebase Analytics and AdMob may use device identifiers.

8.3. Users can limit ad tracking from device settings.

9.1. Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which may be located in different countries.

9.2. Google applies appropriate security measures for international data transfers.

10. Changes

10.1. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

10.2. Significant changes will be announced via in-app notification.

10.3. You can always view the current policy from within the Application.
